John C. Harrington of Maybrook, NY, a retired math teacher for the Monroe-Woodbury Schools in which he taught for 35 years, passed away peacefully Sunday, March, 22, 2009, after a brief illness, at the age of 63. John also proudly worked as a Park Supervisor at Lake Welch Beach in Harriman State Park for 44 years. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday March 26, 2009 at 11AM, at Most Precious Blood Church, Walnut St., Walden, NY. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to The John Harrington Memorial Scholarship at Monroe-Woodbury High School, Attn: Aldo Filippone, 155 Dunderberg Rd, Central Valley, NY 10917.
