JOHN HARRINGTON SATELLITE BEACH John T. Harrington, 78, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, August 3, 2008, surrounded by his family and friends. John was born March 26, 1932 in Chicago Illinois. He attended Lindblom High School in Chicago and participated in Football and Basketball. After high school in 1951, he joined the U.S. Navy and served four years during the Korean War. After military service, he was a barber by profession. He then joined the Chicago Fire Department and served 23 years. He retired as a Lieutenant. In the early 70s till the present day he enjoyed his Satellite Beach Condominium. After retiring from the Chicago Fire Department, he was a part time barber at Patrick Air Force Base and a Park Rang er in the Titusville area. He is survived by his sisters Irene Filla and Caryl Gerten rich and his brothers Bernard and Jim Harrington, and special friend Shirley. A visitation will be held at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 5th, at Florida Memorial Funeral Home.
