NORTHVILLE John H. Williams, 71, of Hope Falls Rd., Northville, died Tuesday, September 30, 2003 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, N.Y. He was born January 9, 1932 in Hope, N.Y. The son of the late Isaac and Portia Brownell Williams. John was a graduate of Northville Central School and Ithaca College. He served in the Navy from 1955 to 1957 and then was employed by General Electric in Schenectady until retirement. He was a member of the Sacandaga Golf Club, a lifetime area resident and an avid woodworker. Survivors include his son, John D. Williams of Gainesville, Fla.; daughter, Lori Lather of Albany, N.Y.; one brother, Seymour Williams of Northville, N.Y.; one sister, Mary Lefoe of Gloversville, N.Y.; six grandchildren also survive him. He was predeceased by one son, Mark Williams in 1999. Friends may call Wednesday, October 1, 2003 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Northville Funeral Service, 401 Bridge St., Northville, where funeral services will be held Thursday, October 2, 2003 at 9 a.m. with the Rev. Tom Blowers officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Northville. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
