John Guy Barrow III YULEE - John Guy Barrow III, 59, died Monday, Oct. 30, 2006 at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville. A private memorial service is planned. A native of New Smyrna Beach, he grew up in Hilliard and was a longtime resident of Monticello before relocating to Yulee. He was a 1965 graduate of Hilliard High School, and a graduate of North Florida Community College in the field of refrigeration.He was also a graduate of the North Florida Community College School of Correction as well as the Florida Highway Patrol Academy. Following a long career as an air-conditioning and refrigeration wholesale salesman, he worked as a supervisor and instructor at Giddens Security. He also spent more than 20 years working as a resource officer for the Florida Game and Fresh Water Fish Commission.He was a charter member of the Nassau Nazarene Fellowship in Yulee and was also very active in the Florida Jaycees, serving in various leadership positions on both the local and district levels. He is survived by a son, Daniel Barrow of Fernandina Beach; a daughter, Mollie Barrow Huggins of Cloughjordan, Ireland; a sister, Janet Barrow Hoyt of Palm Beach; a grandson, Elliot Huggins of Cloughjordan; and his former wife of 31 years, Sally Settle Barrow of Yulee.
