The Rev. John Mitchell Gero III, 51, of 120 Rebecca Lane, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.The Rev. Gero was the son of the late John Mitchell Gero Jr. and Katherine Head Gero. He was a member and associate pastor at Bible Heritage Church in Greenville and was a member of the Southeastern Conference of the Pentecostal Holiness Church.Surviving are his wife, Dianna Owens Gero of the home; a son, Joshua Lee Gero of Ware Shoals; a sister, Tammy Nalley and her husband, Larry, of Liberty, Tenn.; his stepmother, Betty Couch Gero of Townville; and two stepsons, Dustin Callahan and his wife, Brianne, and Steven Callahan and his wife, Michelle, all of Simpsonville.Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Westville Funerals and Cremations, 6010 White Horse Road, Greenville, conducted by the Rev. Donald Watson.
