John Franklin Miller, 77, died Jan. 25, 2009, at his home. He was born in Franklin, Ind., and lived in Fort Pierce, coming from Naples. Before retiring, he was a cabinet maker. He was a veteran of the Air Force, serving in the Korean War. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Janet Schauinger Miller of Fort Pierce; sons, Jeffery Miller of Naples, Michael Miller of Greenwood, Ind., and Darrin Stinnett of Hobe Sound; daughters, Debra Firestine, Mary Mayville, Nyla Elman, DeAnna Stinnett, Terri Genovesi and Lori Smith, all of Naples; sister, Nan Peavler of Greenwood; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. SERVICES: A celebration of life service will be at 1 p.m. Jan. 29 at Golden Ponds Club House, Fort Pierce. Arrangements are by Yates Funeral Home & Crematory Fort Pierce.
