MARSHALL III, John FranklinAge 79. Passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 19, 2012 with his family at his side. John was a long-time member of Andrew Price Memorial United Methodist Church and held many professional and service positions during his life. John graduated from Castle Heights Military School and Vanderbilt School of Engineering, class of 1956. He was a devoted husband, loving father, a dear son and son-in-law, a good friend, a courageous patient, an optimist always, and an all-round great guy. He is survived by his wife, Jane Dalton Marshall; sons, Brian and wife Pattie, Andy and his wife Ann; daughter, Molly Edwards and husband Jeff; grandchildren, Whitley, Kevin, John and Lucas Marshall, Bob and Austin Edwards. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m., Monday, August 20, 2012 and again from 10-11 a.m., Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at the Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with The Rev. Melisa J. Derseweh officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Olivet Cemetery.
