Obituary of John-Franklin Elliott

John Franklin Elliott, 84, of 132 Surrey Circle, Aiken, died July 8, 2001, at Mattie C. Hall Health Care. Loving husband of Anne Petticrew Elliott and beloved father of Pam Elliott of Greenville, John D. "Jay" Elliott and Scott Elliott of Columbia. Other survivors include grandchildren, John Douglas Elliott, Frances Anne Elliott and William Price Elliott. Mr. Elliott just recently received the Order of the Palmetto award, South Carolina's highest award for his service to the state. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 12, at St. Johns United Methodist Church, Ebenezer Center, with the Revs. Sheila Rogers, Kenneth Nelson and Eugene Mullikin officiating. Interment will be private. Memorials may be directed to United Way, 118 Park Ave., Aiken, SC 29801; or St. Johns United Methodist Church Building Fund, 104 Newberry St., Aiken, SC 29801. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Shellhouse Funeral Home, 924 Hayne Ave., Aiken, SC 642-3456.
