Marshfield John Frank Tower, "Frank, of Marshfield, June 9, 89 years of age, died at the South Shore Hospital. Son of the late Walter E. and Lillian (Healey) Tower: father of John F. Tower, Jr. of Marshfield, Walter E. Tower of Pembroke, Joan F. Page of Hingham, and Judith E. Garnett of Marshfield. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Husband of the late Joan B. (Sutherland) Tower. Companion to Marion O'Connor of Marshfield. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Frank was born in Boston and attended Boston Schools. Member of the Marshfield Board of Health for many years before coming Director. Previously he had served in the Civilian Conservation Corps., National Guard, Veteran of WWII. U.S. Army serving in the Pacific Theatre. Frank formerly worked at the former First National Store in the meat department in Marshfield. He was a heliarc welder for D.S. Kennedy in Cohasset. Enjoyed gardening and working around his home. Funeral Service at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte 139, Marshfield, Wednesday, June 11 at noon.
