John F. Williams John F. Williams, 55, a former Acton resident, died Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at the Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island in Providence after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Kathryn (Reidy) Williams, also a native of Acton. Born in Madison, Wisconsin, John was the son of Kathleen Williams of Acton and the late Richard H. Williams. The family settled in Acton when John was entering the first grade, and he was a 1973 graduate of Acton-Boxborough Regional High School. After their marriage, John and Katherine lived in the Seattle area for 12 years, then Cumberland, RI for 12 years before residing in Manhattan for the past 10 years. A legal consultant, he loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar and photography. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Josh Williams of Providence, RI; a daughter Kyla Casey of Harrisville, RI; a granddaughter Kathryn Casey; and three brothers, Perry Williams of NYC, Philip Williams of Marlborough, Mass. and Michael Williams of Maryland. Relatives and friends were invited to a memorial gathering on Sunday, January 2 at 2:00 p.m. at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave (Rte 111) Acton.
