John F. Caseylifelong Lowell resident; 89 LOWELL -- John F. Casey, 89, a lifelong resident of the City, making his home in the Belvidere section, Lowell, died Monday morning, September 27th at Wingate of Lowell.Born in Lowell, February 15, 1921, the son of the late Terrence and the late Nora F. (O'Mahony) Casey, he attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Keith Academy in the Class of 1939. He then went on to graduate from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.A veteran of WW II, Mr. Casey served as a Seaman 1st Class with the United States Navy from 1943 to 1945 and was awarded the World War II Victory medal.Before retiring, he had a long career as a teacher at Lowell High School where he taught math and accounting. Previously, he worked with the Boston & Maine Railroad as a clerk.Mr. Casey was a member of the United Teacher's Association of Lowell and the Knights of Columbus, Council # 72.He was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Lowell.Mr. Casey is survived by many cousins here in the United States and also in Ireland.He was also the brother of the late Mary E.
