John Elmo Kennedy III, 44, of Louisville, passed away suddenly on Monday, September 8, 2003, at his home. He was an employee of Precision Tool and Die Co. As a member of the former Kessler's Friends Band, his great passion was playing the guitar. He was a DeSales High School alumnus. He will be greatly missed by his parents, Carolyn and John E. Kennedy Jr.; his brothers, Kevin, Eric and Brian (Cindy) Kennedy; his niece, Beth; his nephew; B.J. Kennedy; godchild, Josh Kennedy; an uncle, Bert Kennedy; and a dear friend, Lynn Douglas. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 6105 S. 3rd St., with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Thursday at family-owned J.E. Ratterman & Son, 7330 Southside Dr.
