ELLIOTT _ John F. Jack passed away peacefully in Langley on December 3, 2003. He is survived by his loving family: Edith, his wife of 69 years; daughter Janice and her husband Glenn Irwin; and son Jon (1936-2001) and his wife Betty; grandchildren, John (Laurie) Elliott and their children, Carley, Jonathon and Jaymie; Jennifer (Ben) Franklin and their children, Elliott and Ethan; Jim (Kim) Olsen and their children, Taylor, Zachary and Morgan; Julie (Dave) Wester and their children, R.J. and Rachael. Jack was born in Saskatoon and moved to Toronto as a young child where he met and married his wife Edith. After several cold winters in Toronto he moved his family and his business, E & F Trading Corp. to Vancouver. He retired in 1988 and moved to Langley where he developed his passion and skill at golfing and became a member of the original Rotary Club and Probus in Langley. He received the Paul Harris Fellowship Award for his service to the Rotary. Throughout his life Jack was a talented athlete and avid sportsman; at one time trying out for the Toronto Argonauts and the Maple Leafs. He played on several softball teams at the same time; was a skilled lacrosse player and later in life played golf, cards and loved his frequent visits to Las Vegas. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 10 at 1:00 p.m. at Henderson's Funeral Home, 20786 Fraser Highway, Langley. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. HENDERSON'S FUNERAL HOME - 604-530-6488
