CRAWFORD, John Ellis, 82, of Winter Haven, Florida, passed away Friday, October 1, 2004, at Winter Haven Hospital. He was born January 22, 1922 in Zolfo Springs, and was a longtime resident of the Winter Haven area. He retired in 1987 from IMC, was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Bartow, and was a World War II, U.S. Navy veteran. Survivors are: his wife of 52 years, Estelle S. Crawford of Winter Haven; his daughter, Ara Ann "Nan" Boyd and husband, James of Bartow, Florida; three sons, James Crawford and wife, Mary of Winter Haven, Ellis L. Crawford and wife, Sabrina of Lakeland, Florida, and Kim A. Crawford of Winter Haven; his sister, Floy (Midge) Davis of Bowling Green, Florida; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday, October 4, 2004, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Brant Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 5, 2004, at 11:00 A.M. at New Hope Baptist Church, Wauchula with burial in Friendship Cemetery.
