John Crawford Barber III, age 58, of Chester died Aug. 14, 2013. He was the husband of Barbara Brock Barber and the son of Ms. Shirley Price Barber of Chester and Mr. John C. Barber Jr., also of Chester. John is also survived by one son, Carl James Barber of Chester; one daughter, Ashley Thomas of Chester; two brothers, Jeffery Barber of Edgefield and Jerry Barber of Norfolk, Va.; three sisters, Jane Ellen Spotloe of Chester, Jean Ann Sisk of Richburg and Kay Wessinger of Chester; and one grandchild, Gage Jones.
