OBITUARY JOHN COOKES BONNETT Eighty-two years old, in Wolfville, N.S., passed away peacefully Friday January 23, 2009 in Soldier's Memorial Hospital, Middleton. John was the son of the late Col. Eric Bonnett and Cecilia (Cookes) Bonnett, of Middlesex England. John was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was a very successful business man in the plastics industry, in Granby Quebec, who recently retired to Wolfville. John processed a great love for family, aviation and the outdoors. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. John is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Joan (Staniforth); son, David (Laurie), Groton Mass; daughters, Beverly (Peter) Terauds, Torbrook Mines; Barbara (Chris) Bauditz, Prince George, B.C.; grandchildren, Stephen, Michael, Matthew, Katherine, Erika, Anna, Heather, Renee, Bryan and great-granddaughter, Lukka. There will be no visitation by the family's request. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27 in St. Andrew's United Church, Wolfville. Rev. Robyn Brown-Hewitt officiating. Interment will take place in Willowbank Cemetery, Wolfville. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind - guide dog training.
