CONNELLY John, age 86, of Washingtonville, NY, formerly of Paramus, died February 13, 2011. Beloved husband of the late Loretta, who predeceased him in 2010. Loving father of Maureen and husband Kevin Russell, Jane Sweeney, and also survived by daughter-in-law Linda Connelly, the wife of his late son John T. Connelly. Adoring grandfather of Sean and Brian Russell; Kerri and husband Patrick Finley; John, Rebecca, and Thomas Connelly, and many nieces and nephews. Devoted brother of Eleanor Edson, and the late Charles Connelly. John was a retired New York City Fire Chief, and an Army Veteran of WWII. Funeral Services will commence Thursday 10:30 AM at the Feeney Funeral Home, 232 Franklin Avenue, Ridgewood, followed by the Funeral Mass in Annunciation R.C. Church, Paramus, at 11:30 AM. Interment Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 PM.
