John Charles Reid, 64, died July 18, 2006, at Indian River Memorial Hospital in Vero Beach. He was born in Pittsfield, Mass., and lived in Vero Beach for 25 years, coming from Dalton, Mass. He was a life coach with Pathfinders in Sebastian. He was a member of Unity Center of Vero Beach. He was a 1960 graduate of Dalton High School in Massachusetts. Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Gloria Stone-Reid of Vero Beach; sons, Kevin Reid of Salem, Mass., and Shaurn Reid of Pittsburg, Pa.; daughters, Colleen Reid and Karen Mongue-Nichols, both of Pittsfield; sister, Elizabeth O'Brien of Kinston, N.Y.; brothers, James Reid of Orange, Mass., and Thomas Reid of Dalton; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Clarkson in 1997. Memorial contributions may be made to Unity Center of Vero Beach, 950 43rd Ave., Vero Beach, FL 32960. SERVICES: A memorial service will be at noon July 29 at Unity Center. Arrangements are by the Indian River Cremation Society.
