John Cromer WEST COLUMBIA - John Cecil "Chip" Cromer III, 54, of West Columbia, husband and father of Sonya Childree Cromer and John Cecil "JC" Cromer IV, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014. He was born January 25, 1960, in Spartanburg County. He was the son of Florence Griffin Cromer and the late John Cecil Cromer Jr. Chip attended Gethsemane Baptist Church and previously worked in customer service at Delta Airlines. He was a graduate of Midlands Tech and was attending Midlands Tech for additional certification. Surviving in addition to his wife, son and mother, are two sisters, Cindy Shumpert (Bobby) and Kellie Lindler (Rome). Funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Gethsemane Baptist Church, 300 Alliance Road, Lexington SC 29073 with burial to follow in Woodridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gethsemane Baptist Church, 300 Alliance Road, Lexington SC 29073. Family and friends may sign online guest book at www.thompsonsfuneral.com.
