John C. Campbell, III, of Murrells Inlet, husband of Ada B. Campbell, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at his home.Born in Greenville, John was the son of the late John C. Campbell, Jr and Frances Childress Campbell. John attended Greenville County Schools and was a graduate of Camden Military School. He attended Furman University and served in the Marine Reserves. He worked for Huntington and Guerry Electrical Company for more than 25 years. He retired from the Greenville County School System as Plant Engineer. John was a member of St. James Episcopal Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughters, Tina Hunter and her husband Scott of Detroit, MI, Cynthia Hayes and her husband Joe of Simpsonville, and Michelle Morris and her husband Jimmy of Easley; sister, Periene Oeland of Greenville; and his niece, Fran Bennetts and her husband Roy of Palm Beach Gardens, FL.; and nine grandchildren; and one great grandson.A graveside service will be conducted on Monday, August 4, 2008, at 10 a.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park, with The Very Reverend Scott Hunter and The Reverend William Gilfillin officiating.Pallbearers will be Joe Hayes, Jimmy Morris, Roy Bennetts, Michael Green, Larry Hayes and Harry Hayes.
