John Calvin Blanchard, III, 66, of St. Augustine, died Sept. 10, 2008 at Flagler Hospital. He has resided in St. Augustine for the past nine years. He served in the U.S. Army and was a law enforcement special agent. He loved animals especially his cats, Sadie and Puddin and their bird, Winston. John was a gentleman in every sense of the word.   Memorial Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008 at Craig Funeral Home Chapel. Those wishing to may make a contribution in his memory to the Northeast Florida Humane Society, located at 1665 Old Moultrie Road, St Augustine, FL 32084.  He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Marian; sons, John C. Blanchard, IV and wife, Robin, Lake City, Fla., and Glen A. Blanchard and wife, Katherine, Gainesville, Fla.; grandchildren, Gregory, Ashley and Anna Blanchard.  Craig Funeral Home Crematory Memorial Park is in charge of the arrangements.
