February 12, 2009 John C. Nugent III, 38, of DeWitt, NY, formerly of Endicott, went to be with his Lord Thursday, February 12, 2009. He was predeceased by his mother, Sharon (Loucks) Nugent. He was a loving father to his daughter, Sarah M. Nugent, and his son, Joseph L. Nugent, both of Vestal. He is also survived by his father, John C. Nugent II, Binghamton; sister and brother-in-law, Belle-Lyssa and Richard C. Dreher, Denver, CO; a brother and sister-in-law, Christopher W. and Maria Nugent, Chicago, IL; an aunt and uncle, Carol and Tom Crounse, Endicott; cousins, Toby, Cheryl, Michael, Jennifer and John Paul; also many nieces and nephews; many close friends. He was a decorated 16-year veteran of the DeWitt Police Department. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, West Main Street, Endicott. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-51 East Main Street, Endicott, Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and in the evening from 7 to 9.
