John C. "Big John" LeePricevilleFuneral service for John C. "Big John" Lee, 80, of Priceville will be Friday, August 12, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Tepper and Winnie Tepper officiating. Burial will be in Shoal Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mr. Lee, who died Tuesday, August 9, 2011, at his Guntersville residence, was born January 9, 1931, in Morgan County to Leonard and Euline Halbrooks Lee. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post No. 15. He worked and retired from Wolverine Tube after 391/2 years. He was the owner of Southeastern Security and was an avid pet lover. Survivors include his wife, Methilda Lee; one son, John C. Lee Jr. of Somerville; four daughters, Teresa Lee of Priceville, Belinda Lee of Hartselle, Melody Hutt of Huntsville and Amber Lee of Franklin, Tenn.; two brothers, Frank Lee and Charles Lee, both of Decatur; one sister, Virginia Brenner of Hartselle; and four grandchildren, Cory Dunaway, Justin Dunaway, J.C. Lane and Tiffany Lee.Pallbearers will be Cory Dunaway, Justin Dunaway, J.C. Lane, Bayu Prakosa, Dave McCollum and Mike Williams. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to "Canines for Veterans".
