Jordan, John BernardOct. 16, 1919 - March 31, 2010John Bernard Jordan, 90, of Englewood, formerly of Cleveland, died March 31, 2010.Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Bernice; sons Jon B., Richard A., Robert J. and Paul D.; and a daughter, Diane L. He was a loving father of five children and loving husband of his wife of 68 years, Bernice Jane Jordan. In all of those 68 years there was no instance of infidelity on either parties part. John worked for 30 years at the Republic Steel Company's Steel and Tube Division in Cleveland. John lived in Cleveland for much of his life and moved to Englewood in 1980 after falling in love with the area while visiting several times in the 1970s. John was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard and served proudly from 1942 until Would War II ended in 1945. John was stationed in the North Atlantic on weather patrol and then transferred to the Pacific Theater and was involved in the invasion of the Philippines and several other operations up and until being stationed in Japan after their surrender. John served on the LST 202 during most of the invasions. John was a proud member of the Englewood Chapter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars."What shall I bring to the Lord, the God of Heaven, when I come to worship him?" Micah 6:6.
