John B. "Mac" McClellan John B. "Mac" McClellan, 87, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2004. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Letitia. The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. EDT Friday at Episcopal Church of the Advent. A private burial will be later. Memorial contributions may be made to the Episcopal Church of the Advent, 815 W. Tennessee St., Tallahassee, FL 32304.Bevis Funeral Home (850-385-2193) is handling arrangements. He was a native of Green Cove Springs and moved to Tallahassee in 1968. He retired from the U.S. Air Force, having served during World War II and the Korean War. He had been the director of the Knott Data Center at the Florida Department of Education.He was an active member of the Exchange Club, Retired Officers Club, Colonel and Catilian Club and with Springtime Tallahassee. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Advent. Other survivors include a son, Jack Simmons III of Alligator Point; a daughter, Tisha Brand of Tallahassee; two grandsons, John Simmons of Cullman, Ala., and Bert Earp Jr. of Tallahassee; two granddaughters, Mary Simmons of Cross City and Sarah Grant of Tallahassee; two great-grandsons, Michael Simmons and Michael Grant; and a great-granddaughter, Ramsay Letitia Grant.
