June 21, 2004 John B. Carter, 81, of 422 Wilkinson St., passed away peacefully at home, Monday. He was a member of Pentecost Evangelical Missionary Baptist Church, where he served on the Diaconnate board. Survivors: he leaves to cherish hismemory six grandchildren, Theodore Barker, Darlene Jones, Cheryl Stevens, Beatrice Parnell, Harvey and Clarence Collins all of Syracuse; 15 great-grandchildren; 27 great-great-grandchildren. Services will 10 am Saturday at Pentecost Evangelical Missionary Baptist Church 1650 S. State St. Burial: Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery: Calling hours will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the church: Garland Bros. FH has charge of arrangements.
