John Arvin Dacus III, 45, of 203 Highway 17, husband of Cheryl Bagwell Dacus, died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003.Born in Williamston, beloved son of John A. Dacus Jr. and Sarah Allen Dacus, he was employed at Lockheed Martin, a member of Mountain Springs Baptist Church, a 1976 graduate of Palmetto High School, received a BA degree from Anderson College in 1978 and a BS degree in Industrial Management from Clemson University in 1981.A man who was devoted to his family, he is survived by his wife of the home; son, Travis Allen Dacus of the home; parents of Williamston; and grandmother, Nell Scruggs Dacus of Williamston.Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Gray Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Lamar McAbee and the Rev. Nancy Blakely officiating.
