John Alton Cooley, 76, of 14 Ledford Drive, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at his home. Born in Belton, he was the son of the late Roscoe and Innoe Sullivan Cooley.Survivors: wife, Willie Mae (Nelson) Cooley; daughters, Denise C. (Charles) Boyd of Spartanburg and Elizabeth Cooley of Belton; sons, Milton R. Cooley and Ronald Alton (Detra) Cooley, both of Irmo; sisters, Dorothy Scott of Greenville and Bernice Pugh of Mauldin; brothers, Erskin Cooley of Piedmont, James Wilson Cooley and Grady Cooley, both of Mauldin and Walter Sweeney of Greenville.Funeral Service: Friday, 1:00 PM at Tabernacle Baptist Church with burial in Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00-8:00 PM at Watkins, Garrett & Woods Mortuary.
