<!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->March 19, 1944 - Sept. 20, 2014 Mr. John E. "SONNY" Allen Williams, 70, of Atmore died Sept. 20 at Springhill Medical Center. A native and life long resident of Atmore, Mr. Allen Williams was a retired educator. Member of Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church, Eureka Masonic Lodge #953, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity (Atmore Alumni Chapter), and the retired teachers assoication AEA and NEA. He was a 1963 graduate of Escambia County Training School and Jefferson Davis Community College and Alabama St. University. He is survived by (2) sisters, Barbara O'Cain of Mobile and Mary Ethel Bolden of Atmore; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. Homegoing service will be Saturday, September 27, 2014 @ 11 AM at Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church with Rev. Isaac Williams, eulogist and Rev. Willie Hawthorne, Officiant and Host Pastor. Inhumation with military honors will be in Stallworth Cemetery. Public viewing will be Fri from 2 - 8:30 PM with Masonic Rites from 6 - 7 PM at the funeral home. His remains will lie in repose from 10 AM until funeral service time at the church with TURNER FUNERAL CHAPEL, LLC directing.
