HONEA PATH, S.C. - John Aldiene Coleman III, of 215 Goodrich Street, husband of Linda Louise Smith Coleman, died Sunday at Augusta VA Medical Center. Born in Birmingham, Alabama he was a son of the late Rev. John Aldiene Coleman, Jr. and Lillian Graydon Coleman. He was a member of Austin Road Baptist Church. He was a member the Independent Lodge A.F.M., Donalds, a Yorkshire Mason, a Scottish Rite Mason and the Hejaz Shrine Temple. He was Vice President of Southeastern Machining and he was on the board of directors of the Honea Path Credit Union. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Surviving are his wife of the home; son, John Scott Coleman of Anderson; daughter, Julie Marie Moore of Anderson; step-son, Mark Pruitt of Longwood, Florida; step-daughters, Tracy Lackey of Greenwood, Sandy Brock of Honea Path and Mandy Williams of Columbia; one brother, Lonnie T.Coleman of Leesburg, Florida; two sisters, Anna Delle Weathers of Augusta, Georgia and Alva Hare of Laurens and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Little River Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Fuller and Rev. Jason Morrison officiating. Burial with Masonic Rites will follow in Eastview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Pruitt Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The family is at the home.
