John Alden Clark, 74, of Louisville, died Friday at Eden Terrace. He was a native of Louisville, a retired engineer for the old Standard Oil Co. and retired owner of Clark Candies and a Navy veteran. He was a former member of the Edgewood Volunteer Life Squad, a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the Louisville Jaycees and a Lutheran by faith. He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Joan Eaker, and by his second wife, the former Nancy Prinz. Survivors include a son, Robert D. Lewis; three daughters, Linda L. Duncan, Raquel C. Cochran and Cathy C. Haycraft; and eight grandchildren. A private family service will be held at a later date.
