Obituary of John-Albert-Kostick III


KOSTICK John Albert Kostick III, age 67, of Roosevelt Drive, Seymour, beloved husband of June Pijar Kostick, for 38 years, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 11, 2005, at Griffin Hospital, Derby, after a long illness. He was born in Waterbury on October 26, 1937, beloved son of the late John P. and Irene Wells Kostick. John was a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Seymour. He was a former employee of Emhart Corporation (Pops Fastener) of Shelton, where he worked for 10 years as an inspector, and he formerly worked for Saab Scania of Orange for two years. John was a U.S. Air Force veteran during peace time and was a graduate of Seymour High School Class of 1956. John was a Mason and a Shriner. He was a graduate of a safety boating course and enjoyed selling his crafts at fairs. He had resided in Seymour since 1969, previously residing in Cheshire and Naugatuck. His loving family, in addition to his beloved wife, June, includes two devoted sons, John A. Kostick IV of Seymour, and Jeremy A. Kostick and his wife, Holly, of Torrington; three loving sisters, Irene Cox of Dixmont, Maine, Theodora Gagnon of Naugatuck, and Katherine Wells of Naugatuck; two cherished grandchildren, Paisley and Chloe Kostick of Torrnington; and one beloved niece and one beloved nephew. John will be sadly missed by his loving family and many beloved friends. A Prayer Service in celebration of JohnUs life, will be offered on Tuesday, January 18, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (Route 67), Seymour, (opposite Klarides Village) with Reverend Edward S. Jaksina, Pastor of the Church of the Good Shepherd of Seymour , officiating. Interment in Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour. Friends and relatives may call at the Funeral Home on Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. A Masonic service will be held on Monday afternoon. Expressions of sympathy in John's memory may be made to The Shriners Burn Hospital, 51 Blossom Street, Boston, MA 02114.
