Retired Lt. Col. John A. Yagley III, born to John A. Yagley Jr. and Irene J. Yagley in Watertown, Mass., in 1932, left this earth Dec. 18, 2008, and finally joined his loving bride, Jeraldine O'Dell Yagley. John was the last surviving child of John A. Yagley Jr.John is survived by children, Debra Brazeau, Mark Dickson, Roberta Newby and Beth Bish. He leaves behind six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.John served in the Army, later graduated from law school and then furthered his career in the U.S. Air Force. However an honorable career, John's greatest enjoyment in life was to share his smile and sense of humor with anyone he would meet. He will be greatly missed by many and, as in his own words to his children, "Adios Amigos."In celebration of John's life, a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, at Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 113 Racetrack Road N.E., Fort Walton Beach, Fla.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
