October 2, 2003 John A. Bolster, 54, of Hyde Rd., Camden, NY, died unexpectedly October 2, 2003. He was born May 5, 1949 in Westdale, NY, a son of Robert and Bernice Darling Bolster, and was a 1967 graduate of Camden High School. He was a lifelong resident of the Camden area. He served with the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Onondaga County Laborers' Union Local #433. A loyal and trusted employee, he was the operations foreman with Edward Schalk & Son, Inc., East Syracuse, NY. John was previously married to the former Debra Pool, and on November 22, 1988, he married Kelly Brown in Williamstown, NY. Surviving besides his wife are: one daughter Siara Welch, Camden; three sons, Jamie and Michelle Bolster, Ooltewah, TN, John Michael and Evan Bolster, Camden; a grandson, Jaden Bolster; five sisters, Nancy and Jamie Torres, Patricia and Tom Copeland, Ann and Emory Pittsley, all of Oswego, Shirley Bolster, Westdale, and Helen and Edward Pittsley, Scriba; a brother Robert Bolster Jr., Camden; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday from LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, 109 Main St. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Bolster Children's Fund, c/o M&T Bank.
