<!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->04/20/1920-01/19/2015 Funeral service for Joel O. Davis, age 93 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Kirk Smith and Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens beside his wife Ruth Rowell Davis. Mr. Davis passed away Monday at Donalson Skill Care. A native of Bradley County, Arkansas, Mr. Davis was the son of the late Quince Fred and Hattie Neal Davis. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, technical writer for the federal government and a member of the Fayetteville Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include special friends Mark McNeese of Lynchburg, Benny Quick of Fayetteville, Lee Dyer of Fayetteville and Dr. Michael Honeywell. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by daughter Karen Davis and brother Fred Davis. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 1-2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
