JOE C. WILLIAMS MERRILLVILLE, IN Joe C. Williams, age 79, of Merrillville, IN passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born September 27, 1934 in Gary, IN to the late Nera and Claude Williams. Joe was a graduate of Gary Edison High School Class of 1952. He served in the Indiana National Guard and retired from the Millwright Local 1076 (1043) with 56 years of service. Also, he was a member of the American Legion Post 430 and the Slovak Club in Merrillville, IN. Joe is survived by his children: Debbie (Gerald) Mick; son, Randy Williams; grandsons: Brandon, Brian and Gregory; sister, Donna (Jim) Forrest; many nieces, nephews and other family members. Joe will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Private services were held by the family.
