Funeral service for Joe Barnard Williams, 66, of Decatur will be tonight, May 16, 2006, at 7 at Parkview Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Todd Evans officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing. Graveside service will be at Courtland City Cemetery Wednesday, May 17, 2006, at 9 a.m. Visitation will be this evening from 4 to 7 at the church. Mr. Williams, who died Sunday, May 14, 2006, in Chattanooga, Tenn., was born Aug. 28, 1939, in Marshall County to Lloyd Williams and Carrie Holderfield Williams. He was an active member and deacon of Parkview Baptist Church. He retired from National Insurance Agency in 2002. He is survived by his loving wife, Audrey B. Williams; one son, Jeff Williams and his wife, Lisa, of Bowling Green, Ky.; one daughter, Tawanna Hendrix and her husband, Larry, of Gloster, La.; two brothers, Jimmy Williams of Courtland and Don Williams of Trinity; four grandchildren, Jada Hendrix, Laura Hendrix, Amanda Williams and Logan Williams. Pallbearers will be Parkview Baptist Church deacons.
