Joanne (Joni) Green, 76, of Panama City, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 4, 2014.Originally from Boston, MA, Joni moved to Panama City in 1979. Joni was loved by all who knew her. She was a graduate of FSU (MS Social Work) and Troy University (MS Counseling/Psychology). Her work as a mental health therapist; and service to her church's counseling ministry, was a true manifestation of her warm heart and caring soul. More than anything, Joni loved God, her family, and her church. This world is a better place because it was graced with her presence. We are better people because we were blessed with her friendship.Joni was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney (Mike) Green (1989), brother, Joe Palombo (2007), and her parents. Survivors include her son: Steve Brillard (Catherine) of Panama City, (children Julia and Zachary); son: Jeff Brillard (Tammi) of Youngstown (children Cody, Allyssa, and Addyson); daughter: Jennifer Green of Tallahassee; sister: Mary Werlin (Harry) of Winchester, MA. Nieces and nephews: Deana, Mark, Lynne, Jason, and Nathan.A Celebration of Joni's life will begin at 10:30 AM Saturday, October 11, 2014, at High Praise Worship Center, 7124 Highway 22, Callaway, FL 32404, with Pastor Robert Gay officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
