Following a lengthy battle with cancer, in hospital, Perth, on Wednesday, October 22nd, 2003. Joan (Whyte) Young at the age of 59 years. Beloved wife of Bill Young of R.R. #3, Perth. Cherished mother of Cindy (Dave), Billy (Jenn) and Kim (Tim). Loved grandmother of Michaelia, Jacob and Brock Young, Jesse, Carley-Marie and Riley Young and Dylan and Emily Porteous. Dear sister of Jean (Don) Armstrong of Perth and Jim (Donna) Whyte of Lanark. Joan was predeceased by her brother Jack Whyte and sister Shirley and her husband Dave McDougall and her parents Ruth E. (Harvey) and Alex Whyte. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, family and friends. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Perth, Friday, October 24th, 2003 from 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Scotch Line Cemetery.
