Joan U. Lee CHIPLEY - Joan U. Lee, who retired as chief master sergeant (CMSgt) in the U.S. Air Force departed this life Monday, January 5, 2009, in Panama City, Florida. Chief Lee is survived by her parents, Odis Lee, Vernon, Fla., and Helen and Alphonso Daniel, Chipley; four siblings, Carolyn (Willie) Hightower, Tallahassee, Fla., Shirley (Arthur) Goff, Adelphi, Md., Otis (Pam) Lee, Vernon, Theodis Lee, Chipley; an uncle, aunts, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.Visitation is Friday, January 9, from 3 to 9 p.m. CST at Cooper Funeral Home, 1220 Church Ave., Chipley. Funeral services will be at noon CST Saturday, January 10, at Grant Tabernacle AME Church, 419 Martin Luther King Drive, Chipley, with the Rev.Larry Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Sylvania Church Cemetery, Vernon, with full military honors, under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home (850-638-0077), Chipley.
