Joan Sprinkle Williams Known by her family and friends as Momma Jo, she passed from this world on Dec. 31, 2007, in her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, a grandson and her husband of 32 years, Bobby Williams. Surviving family include her children, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph and Saundra Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. Tim and Nita Cherry and Allen Atteberry; eight grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous other family members and friends. She was a lifelong resident of the Springfield area who loved her family, reading, the piano, fishing, the Cards and the Chiefs. She graduated from Springfield High in 1946. During her life, she worked at Heers, Rodgers and Baldwin, owned a gas station and was a truck driver. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4 at Greenlawn North. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5 at Greenlawn North with Brother John Ledenham officiating. Internment will be in Robberson Prairie Cemetery.
