MITCHELL Joan Nancy Ketcham Mitchell, age 87, widow of Joseph Bronis Mitchell of Stratford, died Friday, November 4, 2005, at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Manchester, England, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Rose Mather Ketcham. She was an 80 year member of Lordship Community Church, a life time deaconess, a 50 year choir member and also ran the bake shop, dinners and the retail shop at church. She brought her famous bake goods to area shut ins. Survivors include her two sons and their wives, James M. and Jerri Mitchell of Stratford and Brian and Rebecca Mitchell of Shelton; five grandchildren, Tracy, Scott, Sarah and Christopher Mitchell and Jennifer Pidgeon. Friends are invited to attend funeral services on Monday, November 7, 2005 at 9:30 a.m. in the Dennis & DCArcy Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford, with the Rev. Richard Seavers, officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery. Friends may greet the family on Sunday, November 6, 2005 from 3 to 6 p.m. in the funeral home.
