Joan Marilyn Walls, 74, Punta Gorda, died Oct. 12, 2005. She was born Aug. 3, 1931, in Three Rivers, Mich., and came to Punta Gorda from there in 1985. She earned a teaching certificate from Dowagiac County Norman School and was a homemaker. She was a member, elder, and choir member of Burnt Store Presbyterian Church and past president of its Woman's Association. She was a former member of First Presbyterian Church in Three Rivers. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, John; daughters Gail Concannon and Deborah Spehar; sons Jerry, John and Scott; a sister, Linda Lane; a brother, Richard Poe; and three grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Burnt Store Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will be in June 2006 at First Presbyterian Church, Three Rivers.
