LUTZ Joan M., passed away on Friday, March 6, 2015. She was 86. Born in Wyckoff she remained a lifelong resident. Joan was a graduate of Beaver College in Pennsylvania and obtained her master's degree from Columbia University, NYC. She was a teacher with the Ho-Ho-Kus Board of Education for over 40 years before retiring. She was a member of the Wyckoff Reformed Church. Her husband, Karl Lutz died in 1993 and her companion, Thaddeus "Ted" Heck, died in 2009. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2015 from 10 AM until service time at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. The funeral service will begin at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at the Wyckoff Reformed Church Cemetery.
