JORDAN Joan M., passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2014. She was 93. Born in Butler, NJ, she was a resident of Orlando, Florida and Ho-Ho-Kus. Joan started her career as a secretary at Western Electric in Kearny before devoting her life to her husband and children. She loved to travel, and enjoyed spending time with her family at Ocean Beach and Great Gorge. Joan was fond of classical music and opera. She enjoyed playing golf, tennis, bowling and learning to ski. Joan is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years Russell C. Jordan; two sons: Robert Jordan and his wife Jean, Richard Jordan; a daughter Joanne Jordan; five grandchildren: Joshua, Andrew, Jeffrey, Jenna and Justin; sister-in-law Linda Arvidson along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Clarry, Esther, Myrna, Eleanor and brother Victor. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014 from 10:30 AM followed by the funeral service at 12 noon at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. Interment will be private.
