JORDAN Joan Jordan (nee Woyciecho-wicz), age 56 of Quinton Township, N.J., died peacefully Sunday morning, January 13, 2008 at the Bridgeton Health CenterHospice Inpatient Unit in New Jersey while surrounded by her family. She was the wife of John A. Jordan, to whom she was married since 1974. Born in Jersey City, she was the daughter of the late Edward Francis and Sophie Francis Procknicki Woyciechowicz. Prior to moving to Quinton Township, Mrs. Jordan lived in Bridgeport for several years. While in Bridgeport, she worked as a billing clerk at the office of Robert Russo Radiology. She had also attended St. Ambrose Church in Bridgeport. Mrs. Jordan and her husband were foster parents to many children while living in Connecticut. For their efforts, they received an award and plaque in 2002 as "Foster Parents of the Year" in Connecticut. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three adopted children, S/A Jessica T. Jordan, USN, Marq Jordan and Murphy Jordan; two brothers, Edward C. Woyciechowicz of Missoula, Mont. and Robert T. Woyciechowicz and his wife, Leona of South River, N.J.; one sister, Deborah Carneglia and her husband, Rick of Princeton, N.J.; two nieces, Tova Woyciechowicz and Anais Golain; and one nephew, Evan Morley. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon January 17, 2008 in the Freitag Funeral Home, 137 W. Commerce St. in Bridgeton, N.J. Bishop Ezekiel Rolle officiated. The burial took place in Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Township.
