Obituary of Joan-Irene Reid


MILLEY, Joan Irene Peacefully with family by her side at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie on Tuesday, May 10th, 2005. Joan (nee Reid) of Barrie in her 73rd year. Dear mother of Loretta Sellars & her husband Bryce, David & his wife Trish, Catherine Lacombe & her husband Ernie, Michael and Wilson & his wife Helen. Loving grandmother of Jason, Adam, Stephanie, Thomas & Cole Milley, Rachael Sellars and Sierra & Nathan Lacombe. Joan will be sadly missed by her sister Shirley Forsythe and by her daughter-in-law Chrisine Milley. A funeral service will be held at the Bethel Community Church, corner of Anne & Vespra Streets on Saturday, May 14th at 12:30 p.m. with visitation from 11:30 a.m. until time of service. Cremation with interment of ashes at St. Peter's Cemetery, Churchill. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or to the Arthritis Society through the Jennett Chapel of the McCLELLAND & SLESSOR Funeral Home, 152 Bradford Street in Barrie L4N 3B5. A very special thank you to the Paliative Care staff of the Royal Victoria Hospital and particularly Sylvia Styling for all their care and compassion.
