HENDERSON, JOAN FITZGERALD, 63, wife of Rev. Thomas B. Henderson, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2007. She was born May 20, 1944, in Henry County to the late Ralph W. Fitzgerald and Edith Payton Fitzgerald. She was an active member at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Irvine, where her husband serves as pastor. She served as president of the Christian Women's Fellowship, a choir member, a youth sponsor and a Sunday School teacher. In addition to her husband, Tom, survivors include her daughters, Angela Henderson Ashworth, of Irvine, Audra Henderson Gaines (Michael), of Southaven, MS; sister Glenda Fitzgerald Johnson (Jack), of Frankfort; brothers, Ralph W. "Butch" Fitzgerald (Ruth Ann), of Shelbyville and Jerry W. Fitzgerald, of Frankfort; grandchildren Joshua Allen Hernandez of San Antonio, TX, Jonathan Alan Ashworth and Joseph Alexander Ashworth, of Irvine, and Landon Thomas Gaines (Anna), of Southaven, MS; and nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday at Irvine First Christian Church and Wednesday, from 11 a.m. -4 p.m. at Prewitt Funeral Home at New Castle, KY. Memorial services will be held on Friday at 6 p.m. at Irvine First Christian Church.
