He preceded her in death on May 22, 2008. Joan was a member of Alva United Methodist Church. She is survived by her children: Jill (Benjamin) Steffancin Hasley of Alva, FL, Valerie (Dennis) Vacchelli of Fort Myers, FL and Scott White of Covington, GA; Grandchildren: Kari, Kala, Niya, Sean and Robby; 3 Great Grandchildren; her brother: James E. (Joanne) Barnum of North Fort Myers and her sister: Joyce Sawyer of Middlefield, OH. A Memorial Service will be held at Alva United Methodist Church 21440 Pearl St. Alva, FL on Saturday, May 31 at 10 am.
