December 5, 2008 Joan M. "Joanne" Davis, 84, of Fayetteville, passed away on Friday at home. Born in Montour Falls, NY, she graduated from Watkins Glen High School. She received her BE degree from Cortland State College in 1946 and later received her master's degree from Syracuse University in 1956. Joan was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Fayetteville. She was a member of the Cavalry Club, the Fayetteville-Manlius Antique Study Group, and the Cavalry Club-Duplicate Bridge. She enjoyed playing golf, bridge, reading and crossword puzzles. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul H. Davis Jr., on September 29, 2001. Survivors: a son, Paul H. Davis III (Mary Beth) of Syracuse, and three grandchildren, Nora, Julianne and Christopher. Memorial Services: 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church in Fayetteville. Burial: Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Fayetteville. Visitation will be on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Eaton-Tubbs-Schepp Funeral Home, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville.
